Boy Scouts / Theater Memory Quilt
This quilt tells the stories of 3 separate "eras" of my client's life: many years in Boy Scouts, a love of participating in theater shows during high school and college, and a love for his Alma Mater, Colby College in Maine. My client asked me to keep the shirts grouped together (as much as possible) according to the "era" of his life. He also requested that the design be somewhat chronological, with the Boy Scout shirts (oldest) at the top and going down to the college shirt

College Memory Quilt: Southern Virginia University
I'm very proud of how this quilt came out for several reasons: I did not have many shirts to work with! Typically for my medium (60x70) size quilts, I prefer having around 20-25 shirts to work with so I will have plenty of material for the design. This client only had about 11 shirts from their college years that were in good enough condition to be used for the quilt. I had to be very careful when designing the layout, cutting the graphics, and cutting remaining fabric scraps
